We’re a new website, founded by current Nintendo World Report writer and ex-editor of The Pixel Press, Rory Cocker.
Our aim is to provide news, reviews and editorial content of a high standard, produced by quality writers, adhering to strict journalistic practices. As well as the black-and-white side of things, Write Trigger would like to offer regular video content, podcasts and interviews, and tie it all together in a minimalist aesthetic.
We want to bring you the honesty, integrity and passion you’ve come to expect from the enthusiast press, but with the quality of a professional site.
Our young, charismatic writers are dotted all around the globe – from Preston, to Cardiff, to Montreal and Sweden; the differences in our cultures and world views create a diversity in our content not often seen in the predominantly US-dominated gaming press.

Rory Cocker | Founder Rory founded Write Trigger in 2012 as a place to post his musings. Shortly after the launch, he landed a writing position at Nintendo World Report. A month later, Rory snagged his first paid position as the Video Features Editor at Nintendo Life, where he continues to ply his trade.
